For homicides in which the victim to offender relationship could be identified, 93.5 percent of victims (57 out of 61) were killed by someone they knew. Fewer than 10 victims were killed by a stranger.
Circumstance
For homicides in which the circumstances could be identified, 79.8 percent (79 out of 99) were not related to the commission of any other felony. Of these, 44.3 percent (35 homicides) involved arguments between the victim and offender.
