Let’s end gun violence… together.
Your gift in any amount helps the Violence Policy Center educate the public and policymakers about our nation’s gun violence epidemic, expose the lethal and dangerous activities of the firearms industry and gun lobby, and advocate for effective solutions.
Other Ways to Give
Employer Matching Funds and the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
Maximize the impact of your individual support by exploring the potential for a matching gift from your employer. Connect with your Human Resources department to determine whether your place of employment supports matching gifts to the Violence Policy Center. The VPC’s Tax ID/EIN is 52-1571442.
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) enables federal employees to give to nonprofit organizations through either a one-time gift or a payroll deduction. To support the Violence Policy Center through the CFC, simply use our CFC #11747 during the next fund drive. To learn more about the Combined Federal Campaign, visit the U.S. Office of Personnel Management CFC website.
Stock
Donating securities is a meaningful way to make a charitable gift while also yielding tax benefits and additional savings for you as the donor. When you make a gift of appreciated stock directly there is no capital gains tax and you also make a substantial contribution to the Violence Policy Center’s critical work. For stock transfer information, please contact Georgia Seltzer at the VPC by email at gseltzer@vpc.org or by phone at 202-822-8200 x104.
Please note that the VPC may not always receive donor information along with your gift of securities. To help us make sure that you will be properly credited for your gift and that you’ll receive an acknowledgment from us for tax purposes, please notify the VPC in advance of any transfer using this form or have your financial advisor contact us.
Donor Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a giving option that allows individuals to make tax-deductible contributions to an investment fund where donations can be recommended to charitable organizations. When recommending a gift from your DAF to the Violence Policy Center, please refer to the following details:

IRA/Retirement Contributions
You can contribute to the Violence Policy directly from your IRA if you are 70 1/2 years old or older. This is generally referred to as an IRA Charitable Rollover or a qualified charitable distribution and enables you to make charitable gifts from your otherwise taxable distribution from your IRA. If eligible, the gift is excluded from your income. When identifying the VPC as the recipient, please use the following details:
